Name: Jo
Gender: Male

Interests: After having turned my life over to the Lord I'm not sure what it is that He wants me to do. I've been through flight school, and all I need to finish is my multi-commercial license. My love and I both feel like we're being led into missionary work but we'll just keep on praying and see where the Lord takes us
Expertise: Other than my flying qualifications, not too much! But it's ok, the Lord never asks us to do something without equipping us to do it

Can you believe Christmas came and went so quickly? I won't bore you with all the details of what I did, but it was a really great Christmas this year. I'm very blessed to have such an awesome family...of course it would have been so much better if Amanda could have been here too but next year she will be . I also want to say that after catching up on reading other peoples xangas it's so encouraging to see God working in everyone's lives and in such different ways. Sometimes just reading about what people have and are experiencing with our Lord can really lift me up.

I'm going to give the answers to the questions I asked on my last post. I told you not to cheat but I think that the only way for you to be able to cheat would have been to look into a bible and if you did that, then that's awesome! It really is the most amazing, life changing book - I encourage you all to read it daily! So here are the answers:

1)   There are no records of Joseph speaking in the Christmas story. True

2)   The wise men were three kings from the orient. False

3)   The little drummer boy came to the manger after the other shepherds. False

4)   Jesus' ancestors include a prostitute, an adulterer, a woman who committed incest, and a non-Israelite. True

5)   The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary first and then he appeared to Joseph. False

6)   Mary rode a donkey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. False

7)   Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem because of a decree by Caesar Augustus. True

8)   The wise men followed the star as it moved from their Eastern land to Israel. False

9)   God sent a choir of chubby angels to announce Jesus' birth to the shepherds. False

10) Shepherding was considered a very noble occupation. False

11) After the angels' announcement the shepherds went straight to Bethlehem to see Jesus. True

12) Jesus' name means Emmanuel with us. False

13) Joseph's family name was Christ. False

14) The first animal to see Jesus was a lamb. False

I hope you all did well, and if you didn’t do well (like me!) then I hope you learnt something! Hope you have a great New Years! God bless

We had fun answering some questions about Christmas at church this weekend so I thought I'd share the questions with you then post the answers in a week or so! When answering these questions don't cheat by looking in your bible because that's not fun! I have to admit I didn't do very well so lets see how you do. Post your responces in the comments, and if you were at Church with me on Sunday night...don't give the answeres away! You have to decide if these statements are found  in the Bible, either write a T meaning they can be found in the Bible, or an F which means they cannot. Don't cheat!

1) There are no records of Joseph speaking in the Christmas Story.

2) The wise men were three kings from the orient.

3) The little drummer boy came to the manger after the other shepherds.

4) Jesus' ancestors include a prostitute, an adulterer, a woman who committed incest, and a non-Israelite.

5) The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary first and then appeared to Joseph.

6) Mary rode a donkey from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

7) Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem because of a decree by Ceasar Augustus.

8) The wise men followed the star as it moved from their eastern land to Israel.

9) God sent a choir of chubby angels to announce Jesus' birth to the shepherds.

10) Shepherding was considered a very noble occupation

11) After the angels' announcement the shepherds went straight to Bethlehem to see Jesus

12) Jesus' name means Emmanuel with us

13) Joseph's family name was Christ

14) The first animal to see Jesus was a lamb

Good luck....check back in a few days to see how you did I'd just like to wish everybody who reads this a wonderful Christmas, I pray that you're all happy. I can't express just how totally in awe of Jesus I am! Adrian preached an awesome sermon on Sunday night, he just gets better every time I hear him. Amanda & I are doing so well and she's coming here very SOON! I'm SO EXCITED! I love her more and more everyday, how can one girl be so smart AND gorgeous?! How blessed I am.

Goodnight y'all, God bless,

Jo

P.S. Thanks to Pete Woodcock for the questions!

OK...time for a short update. My gorgeous girlfriend Amanda's asked me to post a little something on here. Man I miss her so much but I know that we'll be together soon! She's so beautiful - awww....I love her! The Lord's been so good to me recently...I got back a week ago from a short trip out to CA to see Mandy, and meet her family. They made me feel so welcomed into their house. They were all so wonderful! It was great getting to finally meet her dad and to see the passion in his heart for the Lord was just awesome. He and I got to have a couple of really good talks, and I'm excited to be able to continue to fellowship with him! There's so much I'd like to write about but I'm beat so I'm gonna go to sleep! Oh and if you get a minute read 1 Corinthians 15 because it's awesome! Good night and God bless
